As 2018 comes to a close and I look back at everything that has happened in the past year – being a part of this #VFJams LIVE! project with Vic Firth is absolutely a monumental highlight. This Mike Mitchell transcription is BY FAR the most difficult transcription I’ve done, to date, and I honestly can’t believe I survived notating the entire video.

I’d say, “print off the sheet music and take this transcription to the practice room.” But…I’m not sure repeating the notes Mike played is even possible. haha. This transcription absolutely is at ‘the edge’ of what written notation can capture from a musical event played in real time. But give it a listen and let me know what you think!
