Dave Weckl is a LEGEND. If you’ve watched the YouTube video above, you can already see why. This Dave Weckl transcription is a great example of how effortless he can make playing the drums look. The tune Dave is playing is “You Rang” and it is a FAST 3/4 time signature. The short solo excerpt shown here has everything from 16th notes, to 16th triplets, to 32nd notes. Weckl can seamlessly transition between any of these subdivisions with ease.
